U.S. Investment & EB-5 Investor Visa Consulting

The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program is the only U.S. visa that directly leads to a Green Card through investment. Turkish citizens have a major advantage: no visa backlog means your Green Card process can begin immediately upon I-526E approval. BizHouston helps Turkish investors understand EB-5 requirements, evaluate Regional Center vs. Direct Investment options, and navigate the full process alongside licensed attorneys.

Who Is This For?

  • Turkish investors with $800,000+ available (TEA areas) or $1,050,000+ (non-TEA areas)
  • High-net-worth individuals seeking permanent U.S. residency for their family
  • Investors who want passive investment (Regional Center) without actively managing a business
  • Entrepreneurs who prefer direct business investment (Direct EB-5) with full control
  • Families where the main goal is permanent residency — not just a temporary visa
  • People who have considered E-2 but want a definitive path to a Green Card

What You Get

  • Fully understand the EB-5 investment requirements: $800K (TEA) vs. $1.05M (non-TEA)
  • Compare Regional Center (passive, counts indirect jobs) vs. Direct Investment (active, counts only direct jobs)
  • Understand the complete process: I-526E → DS-260 or I-485 → conditional Green Card → I-829 → permanent Green Card
  • Learn why Turkish nationals face no visa backlog — unlike Chinese or Indian investors
  • Understand the 10 full-time U.S. job creation requirement and how it is measured
  • Get guidance on documenting your lawful source of funds (USCIS scrutinizes this heavily)
  • Explore Houston-area EB-5 Regional Center projects and direct investment opportunities

Our Process

1
EB-5 Eligibility & Capital Assessment
We review your available capital, intended investment structure, and family goals. We explain the TEA vs. non-TEA investment tiers and help you identify whether a Regional Center project or Direct Investment better matches your profile.
2
Regional Center vs. Direct Investment Decision
Regional Center: You invest in a professionally managed project (real estate, infrastructure, commercial development). You are a passive investor. Up to 90% of jobs can be indirect. Direct Investment: You build and operate your own U.S. business. You must create 10 direct W-2 employee jobs. Requires active management and business expertise.
3
Source of Funds Documentation
This is where many EB-5 applications stumble. USCIS requires a complete, traceable paper trail of how your investment capital was earned — not just proof you have the money. We help you organize tax returns, business records, sale of assets, gifts, or inheritance documentation into a coherent source-of-funds narrative.
4
I-526E Petition Support
The I-526E (Immigrant Petition by Alien Investor) is the first formal USCIS filing. Processing time: approximately 12–24 months (priority processing applies to petitions in the rural and high-unemployment TEA set-aside categories). We work alongside your immigration attorney to ensure the business plan, organizational documents, and investment evidence meet USCIS standards. For Direct Investment, BizHouston prepares the business plan and operational setup.
5
Conditional Green Card Stage
After I-526E approval, you file either DS-260 (consular processing from Turkey — interview at U.S. Embassy) or I-485 (adjustment of status if already in the U.S.). You receive a 2-year conditional Green Card. During this period, you can live and work anywhere in the U.S. Your spouse and children under 21 are included.
6
I-829 & Permanent Residency
Within 90 days before your conditional Green Card expires, you file Form I-829 to prove your investment sustained 10 U.S. jobs. Upon approval, you receive a permanent Green Card. After 5 years as a permanent resident, you can apply for U.S. citizenship.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a visa backlog for Turkish nationals applying for EB-5?
No. Turkish nationals do not face a visa bulletin backlog for EB-5. This is a significant advantage compared to Chinese or Indian investors, who may wait years after I-526E approval before a visa number becomes available. For Turkish investors, the Green Card process can begin immediately upon I-526E approval.
What is the difference between the $800,000 and $1,050,000 investment amounts?
The $800,000 amount applies to Targeted Employment Areas (TEA) — rural areas or urban areas with high unemployment (at least 150% of the national average). The $1,050,000 applies to all other areas. Most Regional Center projects are structured to qualify as TEA to attract the lower-cost investment tier. These amounts are set to be adjusted for inflation in January 2027.
Can my family get Green Cards through my EB-5 investment?
Yes. Your spouse and unmarried children under 21 years old are included in your EB-5 application and receive conditional Green Cards along with you. All family members follow the same I-829 process for permanent residency.
What is a Regional Center?
A Regional Center is a USCIS-designated organization that pools EB-5 investor capital for large-scale commercial projects — typically real estate developments, hotels, or infrastructure. The key advantage: Regional Centers can count indirect and induced job creation (not just direct hires), making it much easier to satisfy the 10-job requirement. Investors are passive limited partners — they don't manage day-to-day operations.
How long does the entire EB-5 process take?
The full process typically takes 3–5 years: I-526E processing (approximately 12–24 months, with priority processing for TEA set-aside petitions), conditional Green Card period (2 years), and I-829 processing (10–24 months). The timeline varies based on USCIS processing volumes at each stage. Turkish nationals avoid nationality-based visa queue delays, which significantly affects investors from China and India.
